Industry showcase a major success

The inaugural Industry Showcase Event held at Rye Street Group, Bishops Stortford, last night (Wednesday 24 February) proved a resounding success for all involved.
The event, organised as part of the AutoRaise/REALexperience initiative, attracted over 100 young people who were inspired by over 25 suppliers, including bodyshop magazine, presenting and demonstrating their role within the market. A number of repairers and insurers were also in attendance.
Co-organiser for the evening, Bill Duffy, managing director at Rye Street Group, said, ‘Thank you so much to everyone for their support, it is truly appreciated and helped create an awesome occasion. It is nights like this that really make you realise what an amazing industry we are involved in.’
Fellow organiser, Bob Linwood said, ‘I spoke with many people last night; the young people who were there, their parents and a few teachers too. Without exception, they all mentioned the professionalism and welcoming nature of all those that were conducting demonstrations and presentations. As co-organiser with Bill and having been in this industry pretty much all of my career, I have never felt so proud of the fantastic people within it.’
The event formed part of the AutoRaise/REALexperience initiative aimed at attracting and highlighting the career opportunities for young people within the automotive accident repair sector.
