Grand performance for TrustFord Barnsley

TrustFord Barnsley raised nearly £1,000 for Cancer Research at its annual community Performance Day on Sunday.

About 800 motor enthusiasts joined in the fun at the Wakefield Road dealership, where a range of activities were on offer including driving simulators, face painting, balloon modelling and even a bouncy castle.

Fast Ford fans not only had the chance to view the range of new and classic models on display, but to also test drive some of the brand’s most loved performance vehicles, including the new RS Ford Focus and the legendary Ford Mustang.

TrustFord colleagues were on hand to answer any questions and offer advice, while visitors could enter a charity raffle for Cancer Research UK, with prizes including game consoles, e-books, tablets and a remote controlled drone.

Between them, they raised just under £900 for the worthy charity.

Glen Kennington, general manager at TrustFord Barnsley, said, ‘We are delighted to have been able to host our annual Performance Day, which once again proved to be a huge success. We love showing off the new range to our community, and judging by the smiles on the faces of all those that got to test drive them, our guests loved them just as much as we do.

‘Everyone had a lot of fun, and it was fantastic to be able to raise so much for Cancer Research UK. It really is an extraordinary organisation and we looking forward to raising even more funds for them next year.’
