Fix & Go Hereford opens doors

A Fix & Go express repair centre is operational in Hereford, just four months after owner Steve Peart added Fix Auto Hereford to his portfolio of traditional and express bodyshops.

An investment of almost £250,000 has gone into creating the express repair facility. This will support the traditional Fix Auto Hereford repair centre which Steve and his team acquired in February, providing a combined site repair capacity of 70 vehicles per week.

This latest news follows on the heels of Steve’s recent takeover of Fix Auto Reading, which was supported by a £100,000 investment.

The move in Hereford transforms the 34,000sqft centre into a state-of-the-art 20 bay express repair facility featuring an STL side loading spraybooth designed specifically for the site. This becomes the sixth – and largest – Fix & Go centre in Fix Auto’s portfolio.

The latest site sits within Steve’s burgeoning group which encompasses the Fix Auto Cardiff South, Fix Auto Pontypridd, Fix Auto Hereford and Fix Auto Reading traditional bodyshops, three Fix & Go express repair centres in Swansea, Pontypridd and Hereford, and a retail express repair outlet, Love Your Car in Cardiff.

Commenting on the move, Steve said, ‘Taking over the site here in Hereford has been a huge development for us as a regional group. Because of the local geography and volume of heavier repairs, there is the necessity to segment repairs into two work streams on the same site.’

Ian Pugh, managing director of Fix Auto UK, said, ‘What Steve has created here is incredible. His energy and enthusiasm for our industry shows no bounds and I admire his entrepreneurial drive. This site is yet another industry flagship for our network and is further evidence of the Fix Auto network investing to provide repair capacity for our insurer clients.’
