Driverless technology under spotlight
bodyshop magazine has secured media partner status with the Driverless Technologies Insurance 2016 conference.
With the theme – Adapting Insurance Business Models To Assisted Driving – the conference will assess the impact of advanced driver assistance systems on insurance liability and pricing in the short and long term.
The conference will offer delegates the opportunity to hear insights into the plans of vehicle manufactures and app developers; determine where liability will sit during the transition period between today and full autonomy; clarify the new protocol on data ownership, so insurers can get the full benefit of communicative technology; know how an increased use of driver assistance technologies will impact claims and how this will feed through to pricing, and understand the specific risks introduced by automated vehicle technologies and ensure compliance.
Confirmed speakers for the event include: Tim Marlow, programme director, Ageas; Sergio Gomez, deputy director – global innovation, MAPFRE; Matthew Avery, director of research, Thatcham Research and Bettina Zahnd-Sinzig, accident research, AXA Insurance.
The event takes place on 17 March 2016 at the The Montcalm Hotel, London.
