BRC gains Toyota backing

Newly re-branded collision repair specialists, Brian Robson Coachworks (BRC), has added Toyota to its expanding list of manufacturer approvals, now numbering 19.

The Hertfordshire based award-winning bodyshop business, which has been operating in St Albans for over 40 years, added a second repair centre in Welwyn Garden City in 2015.

A major factor in securing approved repairer status from the UK’s volume brands has been BRC’s continual investment in training and accreditation, as well as state-of-the-art tooling and equipment.

According to BRC’s managing director, Martin Robson, the need for skills development is paramount within the collision repair industry. Martin said, ‘Ensuring that every car we receive is returned to its pre-accident condition requires a significant investment in update training and equipment, which reflects the advancing technology in vehicle manufacture. As proud holders of the BSI Kitemark for vehicle damage repair, all of our technicians and vehicle damage assessors hold IMI Accreditation. It’s an essential part of remaining ahead of the curve.’

Martin continued, ‘In our 40-year experience, employees who are supported in their learning and encouraged to stay at the top of their game are more fulfilled and deliver the highest performance. That’s probably one reason why we have a number of staff who’ve served the business for over 20 years.’

The latest team members from BRC to achieve their renewed IMI Accreditation include Dean Marshall, operations manager; technicians, Adam Dean and Paul Lloyd; and vehicle damage assessor, Darren Needham.
