BEN sets the challenge

BEN – the automotive industry charity and bodyshop magazine’s nominated charity partner for 2016 – is on the look-out for those who like a challenge on land or sea.

BEN’s latest two-wheeled challenge is a five-day, 300-mile adventure taking place from 15-19 June 2016 and is open to all.

Cycling from BEN’s head office and Care Centre in Ascot, Berkshire, to Paris, France, participants will have an opportunity to see first-hand the work that BEN undertakes at Lynwood, Ascot before setting off on their 300-mile trip to the French capital.

The trip is being sponsored by Junair Spraybooths and AGM Services, who are also putting forward a team of cyclists to raise funds for BEN. Neil Morrison, managing director of Junair Spraybooths and AGM Services commented, ‘We agreed to become the main sponsors of the event as we’ve heard such great things about the work that BEN has done for the industry over the years. It’s a fantastic cause and I’m just pleased that we can do our bit to help out.’

Meanwhile, the Automotive Challenge Cup is filling fast as teams secure their place for the June sailing regatta which gets underway from Port Solent, Portsmouth on the south coast on Thursday 16 June. The event is a perfect opportunity to network with other industry professionals, whilst supporting BEN.

Some of the entrants who have booked to date include Volvo, Schaeffler Group, Lookers Plc, JCT600, KYB UK, Hendy Group, Unipart Automotive, Beadles Group, Truck & Trailer Components, National Vehicles, FPS Distribution, Alphabet Leasing and Cosan Lubricants.

For every yacht booked for the Automotive Challenge Cup 2016, Sunsail will donate £600 to BEN.
