Baldwins makes major investment

Baldwins Repair Group has invested over £165,000 in updating its current spraybooths, with the last five booths being purchased from Todd Engineering based in Staffordshire.

The latest project install was at the Baldwins of Corby site. Peter Randhawa, general manager, Baldwins Repair Group said, ‘We spoke to a few spraybooth manufacturers before we made the decision to go with Todd Engineering. Lee Todd, managing director of Todd Engineering invited me down to the factory in Staffordshire and I watched the process of manufacturer – these are British built ovens and I was really impressed. They are now probably the most cost efficient booths within the group.’

Installation of the two Spartan 2000 drive-through booths and paint mixing room was planned around the Easter break ensuring minimal disturbance to the business. The booths were bespoke designed to work within the original pit foundations and extractions.

Peter said, ‘I think it is important to remember that in the current bodyshop climate, spraybooths are true workhorses. We have them running for most of the day and demand value for money as well as maximum reliability. For me, Todd Engineering has supplied the ideal product to meet this demand.’
