Back of the net gains

The major industry footballing events of the summer have helped raise over £9,000 for charity with money still coming in.

The two charity football matches saw Volvo’s Steve Plunkett’s aptly named Plunkys All Stars take on Finixa’s Alex Humphries’ Daisy Cutters at Molineux to raise money for premature baby charity Bliss, whilst a week later Plunkys All Stars CF were back in action against @FNF FLK Mercenaries FC at Carrow Road home to Norwich City raising much needed support for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Winning captain during the Molineux encounter, home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Alex Humphries said, ‘I am so pleased with the feedback we’ve had from everyone involved in helping to raise funds for such a great cause.’

Avid Norwich City fan, Steve Plunkett added, ‘It’s been another very successful couple of weeks where charities have once again benefited from a group of ‘football crazies’ raising lots of money for worthwhile causes.

‘Money is still coming in and it is certainly not too late for people to donate.’
