AutoRaise showcase heads for Rainbow

The second AutoRaise Industry Showcase Event will be hosted by Rainbow Bodyshops at Farnborough on 7 July.

Andy Walters, group director of Rainbow Bodyshops, said, ‘We are absolutely delighted to be selected to hold this showcase event. Like many people in the industry, we were absolutely bowled over by the video production that AutoRaise created from their first event and the minute I saw it, I knew we had to hold an event. We’ve worked with Bob over many years and this latest project is easily one of the most exciting ones we have worked on together.’

The Rainbow Bodyshops’ team has already made contact with eight local secondary schools, numerous youth organisations as well as the local technical college and hope to attract up to 100 young people and their parents to the event.

AutoRaise is currently being incorporated as a charity with the singular aim of working with all industry stakeholders to address the skills shortage. Already a number of the industry’s major players have pledged their support for the project.

‘On the back of the incredibly successful inaugural event we held at Rye Street Group earlier this year, I have had numerous repairers make contact requesting to hold their own event,’ said Bob Linwood of AutoRaise. ‘We are extremely proud to have put the concept together and to see it develop and grow so quickly. Watch this space for announcements on more events in the near future.’

The AutoRaise Industry Showcase Events are partly funded by REALexperience, part of REAL – The Ethan Rees Linwood Memorial Fund and hosted by volunteering vehicle repairers.
