Ashmore Ryder installs UV light driers

Ashmore Ryder has introduced the use of ultra violet light to help reduce the time it takes to repair cars.

Members of the Irish firm’s paint shop team recently completed training on the Sikkens UV Autoclear system, which was developed by AkzoNobel, and is one of the world’s fastest drying vehicle refinish clear lacquers. It is also specially formulated for use on the latest basecoat and clear car finishes.

This clearcoat completely dries in just six minutes and forms a scratch resistant, high gloss finish. The flexible product can be use on jobs of any size and on both metal and plastic surfaces. It also offers easy mixing and application to allow Ashmore Ryder’s painters to complete their work in less time, but without dropping quality.

Sikkens UV Autoclear is also kinder to the environment because it requires less energy for paint drying, and its advanced formulation system uses less material.
