Alton Cars geared for growth

Alton Cars Ltd has added three new sites to its portfolio in the last six weeks, taking the group total to 10 facilities, and is keen for more.

The three new sites are Ashbourne in Derbyshire (formally Beeson & Galloway Ltd), High Peak based in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire (formally Blenheim Express Repairs Ltd) and Mansfield in Nottinghamshire (formally JD Bodyworks Ltd).

All of the new sites are now undergoing significant re-development projects, which will involve the refurbishment of offices and customer facilities, as well as new plant and equipment and IT systems along with expanding both the Ashbourne and Mansfield sites simultaneously in order that all three sites reflect our group’s corporate image.

‘This is a very exciting time for the group,’ said Juian Milner, group managing director. ‘We have spent the last two years building upon our infrastructure in order to ensure that we had everything in place for an aggressive growth strategy this year.

‘The year has started well with three new sites brought into the group, all of which complement our growth plans in terms of turnover and geographical fit. With 10 sites now in the group we will see our annual turnover hit in excess of £31 million supported with a staff team of 256 staff. We have an amazing team here with our average length of service currently running at 13 years, which is a testament to the way in which we reward and look after our staff, who in turn look after us.’

Tony Parish, group chairman commented, ‘I am delighted with the performance of the group. We are very excited about the future and are keen to continue to grow aggressively over the next few years. Any operators looking to sell their businesses in the south Yorkshire and Midlands areas, please do get in touch.’
