£2.3m pledged to low carbon innovation

More than £2m is being made available to companies interested in pursuing innovative low carbon vehicle technology projects.

The Niche Vehicle Network (NVN) has pledged £2.3m to collaborative development projects to encourage smaller companies to work together on emerging technologies and the development of new products.

Sponsored by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), Innovate UK and the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), the funding will support small to medium-sized businesses with: early stage ‘proof of concept’ research and development through to the demonstration stage; and then the production of working prototypes and the establishment of manufacturing routes.

Vehicle manufacturers, technology companies and specialist suppliers who wish to collaborate to develop and produce low carbon vehicle technologies can apply for grants until 19 August.

To find out how to apply, a briefing day will be held on 7 July at the National Conference Centre.  To register email [email protected]
