Thirty new jobs at Albany Assistance

Claims management firm Albany Assistance, has won a contract to provide fault accident claim services for Hastings Direct motor policyholders. Peterlee-based Albany will deliver hire and repair services to all of its policyholders.

It also means a jobs boost for the East Durham firm, adding 30 extra staff to the team of more than 500 who work in Peterlee on the Bracken Hill Business Park.

Albany Assistance operations director Susan Howe described the deal as ‘a great endorsement of the service and quality we already deliver, and a strong platform for future service development.’

Albany Assistance was established in 1986 and provides services including claims management, replacement vehicles, repair services, personal injury management and insurance products.

Its parent company Redde operates six main businesses which cover claims management, as well as legal and specialist accident management services for the motor insurance sector. It employs more than 1,600 people nationwide.

Ms Howe said the new arrangements with Hastings Direct would see the Peterlee operation ‘focus on the customer journey, placing emphasis on providing a seamless repair and mobility solution for the customer, which is a core capability of our business.’
