TecRMI adds refinishing element

TecRMI, the technical service and repair data element under the TecAlliance information recourse umbrella, has added refinishing to its package in order to support bodyshops.

TecRMI continues to grow with the regular addition of new options to help both general workshops and specialist bodyshops run their businesses more efficiently.

‘The TecRMI package already provides garages with multiple product options for diagnostic fault finding, as well as general service and repair schedules, requirements and processes,’ explained Shaun Greasley, commercial director of TecAlliance UK and Ireland, ‘but it now also includes a refinishing element to cater for the requirements of the bodyshop.

‘The TecRMI system contains almost five million items of technical data, more than 15 million repair times, 114,000 service plans and 570,000 repair instructions and it is within the TecTIMES repair times section that the new TecPAINT element sits.

‘With this addition, bodyshops can accurately price their refinish quotations and assess their internal efficiencies as it provides the time allocation as dictated by the vehicle manufacturer, for a multitude of vehicle specific refinishing processes from localised repair to complete respray.’
