Robert Redman appointed at Glass’s

Robert Redman has been appointed to the role of forecast editor at motor trade valuations bible, Glass’s.

Reporting to chief car editor Steve Jackson, he will be responsible for forecasting Glass’s future car values right across the market.

Robert has been involved in the motor industry for almost 30 years, most recently as Passenger Car Risk Specialist in the Residual Value and Portfolio Department at Mercedes-Benz UK. He has also held key roles at Leasedrive, Masterlease, Vauxhall Masterhire and Rybrook Jaguar, GE Fleet Services – and has also worked as a specialist classic car restorer.

He said, ‘Coming to work at Glass’s is something of a dream come true. As a car and motor trade enthusiast, there is perhaps more knowledge in our head office than anywhere else in the country.’

Rupert Pontin, head of valuations at Glass’s, added: “It takes the ‘right stuff’ to become part of the Editorial Team at Glass’s and Robert is very much the kind of person we like to be able to recruit.

‘In the last year, we have been quietly overhauling our car team and today I am confident that we have the largest, most accurate and most knowledgeable valuation and forecasting team in the UK motor industry.

‘Certainly, our valuation forecasting performance is now industry-leading, something that we are seeing recognised by more and more people who work across the whole of the motor trade.’
