Nissan has revealed the finalists in its Bodyshop of the Year Competition 2015 as well the winners of its BASF Paint Challenge 2015.

Nissan has revealed the top five bodyshops in its annual league table which forms the basis of its Bodyshop of the Year Competition. The top five Bodyshops: Motor Bodies – Widnes, Brooklands ARC – Lincoln, Premier Panel Skills – Farnham, East Bilney Coachworks – Norwich and Rackhams ARC – Ipswich.

These bodyshops are now being visited by a Nissan judging panel prior to the top three being invited to a GT Academy driver experience day at Silverstone. The overall winner of the competition will be announced at Silverstone on 16 August 2015.

Meanwhile, Nissan has also revealed Doug Allan and his team at Specialist Cars Aberdeen as winner its BASF Paint Challenge 2015. Doug won a VIP weekend for two people to Paris and a paint package consisting of two sprayguns, tinting basics and clearcoat, as well as branded premium teflon overalls and an iPad Retina 16 GB.

Fix Auto Henley on Thames (Tabbetts) and Portslade Panelworks Brighton took second and third place respectively.

The competition by BASF Coatings rewards those bodyshops demonstrating best year-on-year sales growth of BASF refinish products during the period October 2014 to March 2015. The use of Glasurit or RM refinish products is a mandatory part of the Nissan Approved Bodyshop Programme, so only fully approved bodyshops are eligible for the competition.
