IFB step up battle against fraud

The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) is planning to hold a round table with aggregators next month to talk about how they can work together in the fight against insurance fraud, the Insurance Times reports.

IFB director Ben Fletcher said, ‘Theoretically aggregators could join the IFB if they wanted to. There is no reason why they can’t. We have been talking to them for a period of time.’

He continued, ‘Aggregators hold wealth of data and can play major role in fighting fraud. Technologically they have significant capability and the industry recognises that aggregators will be able to play a role in helping us to fight fraud in a number of ways and that is what we are looking at.’
