FMG pledges support to road safety

Specialist incident and risk management outsourcer FMG, has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to improving road safety by renewing its position as corporate sponsor to national road safety charity, Brake.

FMG is committed to reducing the frequency and impact of incidents and supports a huge array of customers with its Ingenium Dynamics (ID) driver behaviour telemetry and a full suite of risk reduction services. The ID system monitors the ways in which vehicles are being driven, highlighting high risk behaviour and providing training to address specific issues and prevent incidents from recurring.

FMG is one of only a handful of UK companies to successfully achieve the rigorous BS ISO 39001 Road Traffic Safety quality standard, which demonstrates its commitment to actively reducing the risk of death and serious injury from road traffic incidents within its own fleet.

FMG’s managing director – commercial, John Catling said, ‘Incidents have a massive impact on individuals and businesses, and Brake play a fundamental role in campaigning and educating to improve road safety and provide critical support to devastated road crash victims. We are delighted to continue supporting Brake as there is a high level of synergy between Brake’s commitment to preventing needless death and serious injury on the roads and FMG’s ‘prevention better than cure’ strategy.’

Brake works closely with professionals and organisations to make a significant difference to road safety.  Corporate sponsors like FMG support Brake’s annual programme of events which includes campaigns, awards and conferences designed to ensure that all organisations, regardless of size, can stay up to date with road safety best practice.

Richard Coteau, senior corporate fundraiser said, ‘We are extremely proud of our partnership with FMG who share our passion for reducing road crashes, and providing support for those who need it most through our helpline service. FMG’s support also allows us to educate and campaign on a variety of issues helping to make roads safer for all. We look forward to working with them throughout 2015’
