ECP bonds with Basildon

The first new generation hub is being opened by Euro Car Parts (ECP) in Basildon, increasing SKUs by 174%.

This major investment is also introducing 13 new vans to increase the frequency and speed of delivery to workshops and bodyshops by local ECP branches. Additional jobs in sales, warehousing and administration have also been created and further new jobs are anticipated.

Richard Ware, formerly branch manager of ECP Rayleigh for almost 12 years, is heading up the Basildon hub as general manager.  The modern 40,000 sq ft site, built across three floors, is located on an established busy retail park on Festival Way in Basildon.

Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, chairman of Euro Car Parts, said, ‘This development is the first realisation of our considerable expansion programme across the UK, designed to improve service levels significantly to local service, repair & MOT workshops as well as bodyshops by offering 30-minute deliveries.  We are confident our customers will experience a new kind of customer service with faster and better availability of a more extensive range of automotive parts, paints and coatings, which will help them to grow and develop their businesses successfully by significantly reducing workshops’ downtime and increasing profitability.’
