CitNOW doubles efforts for BEN

Automotive video software expert, CitNOW, has doubled its efforts for this year’s Bangers for BEN charity road trip, entering two cars worth just £750.

Having entered a venerable FIAT X1/9 in last year’s event, CitNOW commercial director Alistair Jeff and CEO Alistair Horsburgh will pilot a car each in the 2015 event, which takes place this weekend (Oct 10-13).

Jeff will drive a 20-year old Audi Cabriolet, with Volkswagen Financial Services’ Drew Tyrell as co-driver, while Horsburgh will take the wheel of an 11-year old Chrysler PT Cruiser and will have Andy Oakes as his navigator.

The trip, which will take in four legendary Formula 1 circuits – Silverstone, Nurburgring, Spa and Reims – will raise money for BEN, Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund.

Horsburgh said, ‘BEN is a fabulous charity, with some great people supporting some less fortunate souls from our amazing Industry.’

‘We love working in the automotive sector, it’s been a major part of many of our lives for more years than we care to mention, so this is a great chance for us to have some fun and give something back to the industry and our colleagues. Now, where did we put our tool kit…’
