Applying 3M science at Goodwood

Diversified technology company 3M will have a significant presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year.

Three divisions, 3M Commercial Graphics, 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division and Meguiar’s showing how 3M science is helping to transform the way in which vehicles are made, cared for and personalised.

Located on Premier Row (stands 1 and 2 and stand 15), the 3M presence will offer vehicle personalisation, protection and repair demonstrations and hands-on action for visiting enthusiasts.  Centrepiece of the stand will be a transparent concept vehicle, showing all of the areas in which 3M science is incorporated into modern vehicles during manufacture, and is subsequently used to maintain and personalise them.

On the stand 3M will have five cars, two of which will be used to demonstrate vehicle wraps with customisation, colour change, and printed designs from 3M Commercial Graphics. A wrapper from Mission Motorsport, the Forces’ Motorsport charity that provides rehabilitation to those affected by military operations, will provide a live wrapping demonstration during the event. There will be continuous wrapping demonstrations, and visitors can try wrapping for themselves using a 3M Car Wrapping DIY Kit.

The 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division will be launching an exciting new product, 3M Paint Defect Removal System. This is a simple and easy to use system that removes defects before buffing, reduces scratches and produces an overall finer finish. Wet or dry, better results can be achieved on even the smallest and hard-to-reach jobs and no prior experience is needed thanks to an easy-to-learn instruction process. Other live demonstrations include 3M compounding products which are the ultimate choice for car refining professionals.

3M Automotive Aftermarket Division will be demonstrating VentureShield Paint Protection Film, which protects the most vulnerable painted surfaces of your vehicle from damage caused by stone chips, bugs, scratches and minor abrasions.
