ACIS signs Europcar deal

ACIS has signed a three year agreement with Europcar as the preferred supplier of paint and consumables into the hire vehicle giant’s approved bodyshop network in the UK.

ACIS, which also offers value-added services to support the Europcar network – including Ascribe, a web-based stock inventory system – will provide both Sikkens and Glasurit paint systems.

French-owned Europcar is one of the world’s leading car rental companies operating in more than 160 countries. It has a fleet of 200,000 vehicles and hires in excess of eight million cars per annum.

David Clarke, Europcar’s motor damage manager, said, ‘Operating in the competitive car rental market where vehicle accidents are an occupational hazard, we need an arrangement that guarantees rapid repair and ensures that our customers are always mobile – we simply cannot afford operational down time.

‘Working with ACIS and their paint partners drives efficiency and speed of repair from FNOL through to return. Key to key times are paramount and with Ascribe our repair network can accurately measure what they are using to optimise the process.’

Ian Dalgarno, national account director at ACIS, said, ‘Our new relationship with Europcar is a testament to the fact that we want to collaboratively develop products and services that mirror Europcar’s evolving bodyshop requirements, both now and for the future.

‘Europcar is a massive organisation with a brand footprint across the world. Its endorsement of our services, including Ascribe, underlines our commitment to help future-proof the bodyshop through technological support and investment.’
